Net Metering and Interconnection Standards

The regulation applies to electric distribution entities in New Jersey and specified systems powered by Class I renewable resources. The policy states that entities must offer net metering to residential and small commercial customers with photovoltaic and wind energy systems.

  • All electric distribution entities in New Jersey (except a small number of municipal utilities and electric cooperatives)
  • Systems powered by Class I renewable resources are eligible

Requirements:
