The regulations apply to specified conventional vehicles that operate on propane, natural gas, ethanol or electricity, and state that vehicle conversions must meet current applicable U.S. EPA standards.

Applicable to:
- Conventional original equipment manufacturer vehicles that operate on propane, natural gas, ethanol, or electricity (considered as aftermarket AFV conversions)
Requirements:
- All vehicle conversions must meet current applicable U.S. EPA standards (except conversions that are completed for a vehicle to run on electricity)
